The full-size version of the AMKONaut® system is: Software and hardware and able to realize, manless manufacturing.
OFF-LINE features ( thus in the preparation for production )
** Only tiny programs must be produced to execute the measurements for part location and the part contours. ** The results of these measurements are enough to create the entire CNC-programs. ** These tiny programs can always be produced OFF-line! ** If CAD-DATA are available, the necessary coordinates are directly utilized. ** Transmission of these tiny programs from the office to the manufacturing site can be done by means of Intranet (TCP/IP protocols)
ON-LINE features ( thus during the manufacturing process)
**Automatic part identification and selection of the associated measurement program. ** Measurement of part location accomplished by means of LASERS. ** Measurement of part contours/surfaces is done by means of LASERS. ** Working tool contours/surfaces measurement is done by means of LASERS. ** From the measuring results, measurement data archives are automatically created. ** From the measuring results, fully automatic complex CNC programs are produced. ** CNC programs guarantee absolute collision-free trajectory tool paths. ** CNC programs compute the optimum feedforward speed, depending on the complexity of the part contour. ** Each induvidual tool geometry is taken into consideration into the CNC trajectory path. ** Several different tools can be used (e.g. div grinding wheels, mill tools) on one part. ** Automatic control of tool wear is accomplished by LASER tool measurement. ** Tool wear computation guarantees CNC-programs absolutely free of collision. ** Automatic transmission of the CNC programs to the PC/CNC control system. ** PC controlled release of the work process and communication with the SPS. ** Monitoring and controlling of the entire production process including the controlling of an automatic feed of parts from buffers.
